Preparing For Early Labour At Home - Pregnancy - 2023

I️ LOVE this photo!

For women that plan to birth in a hospital, a lot of the hard work leading up to coming to the hospital is done at home with the support of their birth partner.

Early labour (before 4cm dilated) is HARD work. It’s long, relentless and tiresome.

Your cervix needs to shorten before it can start to open. The BEST place for early labour is at home, where you’re comfortable and feel safe.

Try your best to ignore it. Walk, shower, bath, cook, eat, watch a movie- anything distracting for as long as you can before you give into those strong surges that will bring your babe into the world 💪🏼

  1. My hubby helped me labor at home and I didn’t go to the hospital til 6 cm 🥰 super proud of myself and fell ten times more in love with my husband after seeing his dedication to helping me breathe thru contractions, get into the positions that felt better for me, press my pressure points on my back, and continue to give me positive affirmations. He was the best labor partner ever and i got the natural birth and the positive experience I wanted!! Now our first baby is in my arms breastfeeding & hes 12 days old 🥰 ❤️
