“Postpartum. What a beautiful thing. Messy, stretchy, squishy, but just so beautiful.
Standing in this body today, I am overwhelmed with pride for it. It’s not the same as it once was, but neither is the soul it carries. Staying the same is never the goal though, right? The goal is to LIVE. To make memories and grow and stretch and learn and adapt.
I know finding our new groove, this body and I, will take time. But on those difficult days to come, as I’m looking in the mirror longingly wishing for my old self, I’ll next look over at him, and at Rev, and remember the sacrifices it made for them. And for me.
And then I’ll thank it. Because even with it’s squish and stretch and mess, it did so damn good. 💙👊🏻💕”
