Just because we are mommies, it doesn’t mean we need to put ourselves on hold. It does mean we need to choose our priorities well, make good use of “free” moments, minimize wasting time, and recognize that we don’t have to get everything done right now.
But more than anyone tip or strategy, it’s what we tell ourselves about our goals and dreams that can hurt us the most.
Give yourself permission to do something you’re passionate about. It doesn’t make you any less of a devoted mom. You don’t need to feel guilty about me-time.
Being a mom is both the greatest blessing and also the most stressful and exhausting experience. In order to thrive (not just survive) you need to take care of yourself and your dreams—without feeling guilty!
Do you have any words of wisdom to share about how to carve out some time for yourself?
According to researchers, mom’s get approximately 32 minutes of alone time each day. What’s your survival tactic?
Shoutout to @healthiest_baby for the image!

You have the best page ever and I wish I had seen this when I was pregnant. Your words of wisdom and hilarious barbie doll models are like sugar making the medicine go down on some of the scary stuff!
I LOVE THIS!! I just started a podcast for mothers and inspiritional women. I believe in the power of conversation and learning from others experiences. We touch base on Autism, bullying, morning routine, relationships, hair tips and so many other subjects. I feel like you might really enjoy it!! It is called “If the chair could talk” found on most all podcast players!! https://open.spotify.com/show/0XVK546sOpngPOIZfvJaWR
Yes!! 🙌🏼
This is why I don’t want to have kids. You have to devote yourself to them. Fuck that. I prefer to nap and do nothing for hours 🙂🙂
So true!
I love these truths 🙌🏻
Needed this!!!!
Went through all of these exact thoughts today. I’m lucky I was able to calm myself down and see the brighter side. Thank you for posting this.
For me, it had to do with realistic expectations and my own priorities.
Thanks so much for this – having a tough time getting out of my head today
