Yep, this was my first kid. She hated sleep. Naps sucked too. It all got better around 13 months when she dropped to one nap and started sleeping somewhat consistently throughout the night. I had dropped the middle of the night nurse session at 8 months and it still took 5 months for this girl to sleep through the night.
My second is MUCH better. I feel like God rewarded me because my first was so draining 🤣
It’s gets better, our little guy just hit 13mos and has only recently started to consistently sleep through the nights…..never experienced sleep regression, since he never slept through the nights. It’s glorious now, it’ll come. My wife and I kept sane by trading off nights to get up with him.
No. Fucking. Joke. My MIL and I were reading through 9 month milestones and a blurb said something about sleep regression around this time. She asked if maybe that’s why we’re having problems. I calmly said “I think to have regression, there has to be progress first.” 😐
Anybody else wanna smother their SO as they sleep through it? Just me? My LO has been waking up screaming her lungs out while half asleep and she only takes boob. No bottles, no pacis, only boob. At least she has a good 4-5 hr sleep but it’s so early (at 7:30/8/9:30 the latest) and I should sleep during that time but I just can’t. And I WFM full time, I’m exhausted and have gone back to having 2-3 cups of coffee a day because I’m so sleep deprived. Someone tell me it gets better 🙂
Same here, LO is 3 months and she still doesn’t go for her “long stretch” (3 hours) until after 11 pm and she still wakes up every 1-3 hours in which I have to give her the pacifier until her next feed…she also needs a lot of rocking and cuddles to actually fall asleep too. So my husband and I were just saying that the 4 month sleep regression won’t be such a shock! Planning on sleep training at 5.5-6 months so we will just suffer until then. Unless a miracle happens and she suddenly decides to sleep more than 3 hours. We are following all the wake windows/making sure she eats during the day/naps are good (5-6 hours total but I hold her to sleep/use the swing)/bedtime routine/Snoo with heating pad and leg lifters…..
My daughter will be 4 months in a few days, she gets her vaccines on Tuesday, I start back at work tomorrow and my MIL (who my daughter barely knows) is watching her. This month is gonna suck! 😂😩
My baby has had tons of sleep issues and we are just now figuring out at about 12 weeks that it’s probably related a dairy allergy. I joked that we never got good nights of sleep so 4 month sleep regression will be basically how life is now.

For real though, does the 4mo sleep regression ever end? It has been a month and it’s still getting progressively worse 😩
I see you met my daughter.
To put her terrible sleeping into context we didn’t even realise she was teething until the teeth were through.
I feel you. My fella did not have the 8mo regression because he’s still sleeping like a newborn. So. Freaking. Tired.
I’m probably be down voted but if you’re breastfeeding, bedsharing has saved us. Look up the safe 7. It’s a life changer
