The NICU is a place nobody wants their child to see, but it’s a reality for thousands of families every year. Join our NCU Moms group for someone to lean on when you’re feeling depleted, and for photos and stories from NICU graduates who have been where you are.
I thought I wouldn’t have to buy any baby clothes as we have so much left from my eldest. Then my daughter decided to arrive 7 weeks early lol.
The hospital provided clothing for her stay but she was being discharged earlier than expected. But we also only had a few clothes for her size!
My online deliveries were taking ages due to Covid and so I asked on my local mothers group if anyone was willing to sell. I just asked if they could drop them off as I was alone at home and can’t drive.
I had so many mothers offer to drop clothes off for us. They didn’t accept payment either.
I have so many premmie clothes now and while I felt a bit embarrassed it made a huge difference.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Ask friends and family to cook or help clean. If people ask if they can help, accept it.
I’m going to drop off the clothes to the hospital once she has outgrown them of course
