I’m not a SAHM – currently a WAHM, close enough? – but I kind of live for helping people figure this stuff out. 😉
If the goal is getting in some exercise, I think flexibility is the name of the game. But also fitting it in so that you’re not sleep deprived or making your life more hectic.
Are you able to go to the gym and return before your partner leaves for work? Or maybe in the evening after the kiddos go to bed?
Is there a teen or tween in your neighborhood who could be your mother’s helper, and play with your child for an hour a few days each week while you exercise? Or is there another mom you could trade childcare with?
Do you have a safe place to walk or run, so you could push a jogging stroller?
There are some really affordable apps to do in-home workouts; would your kid be ok letting you do that or could you sneak it in during nap time? Or maybe just in 10-15 minute increments throughout the day?
I’m obsessed with my Peloton, so I’ll throw that right out there. 😉
