I didnt hear anything about vitamin d drops until my second kid. My first is about to be 3 and is perfectly fine. He is quite strong and smart. I dont see any signs of deficiency in him. I tried it for a few weeks with my second kid but didn’t find it to be something I could keep up with. We go outside a lot though, so he should be getting plenty of natural vitamin d. I also get extra vitamin d from my vitamins, spend plenty of time outside and eat a diet high in natural sources. Hopefully that is helping me pass along enough in my milk as well. Chances are, unless baby is dark skinned or you are genetically predisposed to be a poor converter of vitamin d, it should be fine to go without the drops, especially if they make your baby sick.
