    We did have a lot of issues with hypoglycemia that eventually worked themselves out.

    They tested the insulin levels whilst the blood sugar was low to get a good idea as to the cause.

    They highly suspected Hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia as the root cause which is transient.

    She was given hydrocortisone and continuous feeds to help try and regulate it. Nothing appeared to work, until one day she got a good result followed by bad ones again.

    Then there were two good, three and so forth until they decided to no longer test as they were all coming in good.

    How are they testing? We were told the prick on the foot with an instant test tab are good at detecting elevated glucose, but aren’t that accurate for low. If you’re getting multiple low they should be doing capillary blood gas or arterial to confirm them.
