Labor Day Stories! Incredible story from @birthtubeonInstragram🙌
Those who are shocked and appalled that this mom delivered on the floor should know that there was less than one minute between the first image I took and full delivery. My best guess is it took about 2 minutes for him to be out from the time their car arrived at the ER entrance. This birth was exciting and fast, but not an emergency situation. In this image, Mama Jes is touching her son’s head. She felt her body pushing him out quickly and wanted to make sure he was safe and supported.
Baby was born 3:38 am on July 24, 2017. This was approximately 25 minutes after Jes’ water broke…and they live a 20-minute drive from the hospital.
The nurses who responded recognized that this was not an emergency and, while making sure mom and baby were safe and healthy, encouraged immediate bonding. Daddy even got to cut the cord.😁
