Welcome to New Moms Forum. By registering an account or using this site, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
We’re here to create a supportive, respectful space where moms can connect, share, and support one another – but there are a few important ground rules to keep everyone safe, seen, and respected.
1. This Site Is for Information and Support Only. It Does Not Provide Medical Advice.
New Moms Forum is a space for sharing stories, experiences, and support – but it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
The information shared on this site, in any forum, message, or comment, is designed for non-commercial, informational purposes only. It may include personal opinions or lived experiences, but it does not replace advice from your doctor, midwife, mental health professional, or any qualified healthcare provider.
If you have concerns about your health or your baby’s health:
- Always speak directly to a healthcare professional.
- Never delay or avoid getting medical advice because of something you’ve read here.
By using New Moms Forum, you agree and acknowledge that:
- You use all content at your own risk.
- We do not provide medical care, medical diagnoses, treatment, counselling, or personalised health advice of any kind.
- No doctor–patient or therapeutic relationship is created by your participation in the forum.
For the purposes of these terms, “medical advice” includes – but is not limited to – information about physical or mental health, diagnosis, prognosis, medications, medical treatments, fitness, psychology, nutrition, parenting techniques, birth plans or postnatal care.
Medical knowledge is always evolving. We cannot guarantee that any information shared on New Moms Forum reflects the most current medical developments.
We do not recommend or endorse any specific tests, practitioners, clinics, treatments, feeding methods, parenting choices, or products that may be discussed on the site. If you choose to act on information found here, you do so solely at your own discretion and risk.
2. Minimum Age to Join
You must be 13 years or older to create an account.
If you're under 18, we recommend using the forum with the guidance of a parent, guardian or trusted adult. Some of the topics discussed can be sensitive, and professional support is always encouraged if you're going through something tough.
3. Be Kind, Always
We’re mums. We get it. But we don’t do judgement here.
By posting on the forum, you agree to:
- Treat others with respect and compassion.
- Avoid hate speech, bullying, discrimination or personal attacks.
- Refrain from posting anything harmful, offensive, or illegal.
We moderate regularly but may remove posts, hide threads or suspend accounts that go against these values – without warning.
4. Respect Privacy
Don’t post anyone’s personal information – not your own or someone else’s. That includes:
- Full names, email addresses, phone numbers or home addresses.
- Screenshots or images that include someone’s identity without consent.
5. No Spam or Self-Promotion
We love small businesses and helpful resources – but this forum isn’t the place to promote your product or blog unless we’ve given you the okay.
- Don’t post unsolicited ads or affiliate links.
- Don’t use the forum to drive traffic to your site or social channel.
- Don’t message other users for commercial reasons.
6. Your Content, Our Community
Anything you post on the forum stays yours – but by sharing it here, you give us permission to feature it on New Moms Forum (e.g. in quotes, newsletters, or social media), with credit. If you’d prefer not to have your content used this way, let us know.
You’re also responsible for what you post. Please don’t share copyrighted materials or anything you don’t have the rights to.
7. Forum Moderation
We reserve the right to edit, remove or moderate any content at our discretion, especially if it breaches these terms or poses a risk to others.
We also reserve the right to suspend or delete user accounts at any time.
Our moderators are here to keep the space safe, but they are not medical professionals.
8. Your Account
You’re responsible for keeping your account secure. Don’t share your login details, and please let us know straight away if you suspect someone is using your account without your permission.
9. Links and Third-Party Content
New Moms Forum may contain links to other websites or third-party content. We don’t control those sites, and we’re not responsible for what you find there – including their privacy practices, information accuracy, or user experience.
If you choose to click a link or follow third-party advice, you do so at your own risk.
10. Governing Law and International Users
New Moms Forum is operated from Australia and is governed by the laws of Western Australia.
By accessing or using this site, you agree that:
- These Terms are governed by and will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Western Australia.
- Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
- You are responsible for complying with your local laws if accessing the site from outside Australia.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, in accordance with privacy regulations in Australia, the United States (COPPA), and other international laws. If you believe a child under 13 has registered without parental consent, please contact us and we will take steps to remove the account.
Nothing on this website should be interpreted as advice, treatment, or diagnosis under the laws of any country. Any reliance on information from New Moms Forum is strictly at your own risk and does not form any patient–provider or legally protected relationship.
