I find this next fact REALLY amazing…
It has been shown that a baby actually reaches out to his mother as she rubs her belly.
Starting around week-19 a baby-under-construction becomes sensitive to touch. This is especially true during the third trimester. Apparently, a womb baby responds more to touch than any form of communication. These are, of course, things we all do naturally, but it’s nice to know that your baby actually likes it and responds to it.
Unborn babies may even be able to tell the difference when you touch your belly versus anyone else. Researchers found that babies are more likely to reach out and touch the uterus wall when his or her mom rubbed her tummy.
