What Are The Risks Of Taking Antihistimine During Pregnancy?

My doctor recommended sudafed for my sinus and allergies, but it contains chlorpheniramine maleate (an antihitimine) which I’ve heard is not safe to take during pregnancy. Is it okay for me to take? I am in my 2nd tri-mester.
