Back in the old days, it was rare to see a pregnant woman out in the working world, as women were thought to be especially fragile during pregnancy. We now know that while there are precautions that need to be taken during pregnancy, you aren’t going to suddenly go into labor from sitting at a desk all day, or are highly unlikely to. If you need or wish to work during your pregnancy, there is no reason you can’t unless your doctor advises you not to. There are some occupations that don’t mix well with pregnancy, but if you have a job that isn’t very labor intensive or stressful, there usually isn’t a problem. Some women work until the day they go into labor, and if your doctor is okay with it, there is no reason not to, if you wish to do so.
