Been Told To Gain Weight During Pregnancy?

I went to the doctor yesterday and I was 112 pre-pg and now 124…somewhere the doctor has gotten that I’ve only gained 7 pounds. ??? Have no clue! So anyways he tells me that he is concerned with my weight gain and would like me to add a few milkshakes to my diet a day. I eat all the time. I eat an even balance of healthy and not so healthy (due to cravings). I am currently 24 weeks pregnant. I have a different doctor than first pregnancy and w/my daughter i only gained 10 pounds the entire pregnancy. Has anyone been told this before? What should I do I guess to gain a few extra pounds? Thank you!
