My doctor recommended sudafed for my sinus and allergies, but it contains chlorpheniramine maleate (an antihitimine) which I’ve heard is not safe to take during pregnancy. Is it okay for me to take? I am in my 2nd tri-mester.

If I am a healthy person, with no family history of complications, why is it so important to see a doctor during pregnancy. I don’t want ultrasounds and fingers up me. I have read a lot about pregnancy’s vitamins, complications, and things like that. Couldn’t I just have a natural pregnancy and go with out a doc, until I deliver?

I went to the doctor yesterday and I was 112 pre-pg and now 124…somewhere the doctor has gotten that I’ve only gained 7 pounds. ??? Have no clue! So anyways he tells me that he is concerned with my weight gain and would like me to add a few milkshakes to my diet a day. I eat all the time. I eat an even balance of healthy and not so healthy (due to cravings). I am currently 24 weeks pregnant. I have a different doctor than first pregnancy and w/my daughter i only gained 10 pounds the entire pregnancy. Has anyone been told this before? What should I do I guess to gain a few extra pounds? Thank you!

I’m going to the doctor tomorrow. I’m 16 and i have to fake wanting a pap smear to find out. There is a mandatory pregnancy test in his office to get the depovera shot too, so I am also getting that. Is this a good idea, or is it something i should talk to my parents about?
