<p>High protein diet pregnancy can be dangerous as the fad protein diets can be restrictive by effectively eliminating entire food groups. A balanced diet during pregnancy is important; this means protein will need to take the place of other less healthful snacks.</p>
<p>Substituting protein snacks for more sugary, starchy or fast snacks will also help maintain blood sugar levels. The queasiness experienced by many women can be counteracted by a daily diet for a pregnant woman high in proteins.</p>
<p><strong>Know your Food</strong></p>
<p>Low quality fatty meats are laden with nitrates, hormones, antibiotics and other undesirable substances. Eaten in larger amounts, they will accumulate these harmful chemicals through the bodies of both mother and baby. This makes the need to be choosy about your protein sources even more paramount.</p>
<p>When choosing a protein source, remember the source counts. Lean, grass fed beef should be high on the list. Knowing where your meats come from is important. Chicken from parts unknown in terms of farm location as well as location on the animal does not add up to a quality food choice. Pick all-natural free roaming chickens and eggs.</p>
<p>Meats from local, organic or all-natural farms are more healthful as a general rule. Likewise if your grandmother would look at a meat and not recognize it as such, it should send up red flags. Quality meats may cost a little more, but knowing you and your baby are eating only the purest foods is worth a few extra dollars.</p>
<p><strong>Protein for the Vegetarian</strong></p>
<p>What about women who choose to maintain a vegetarian diet in pregnancy? Vegetarians still need protein and many talented vegetarian cooks know how to utilize protein sources outside the Animal Kingdom. A couple things to remember, however, are the need for complete proteins. Vegetable and legume or grain protein sources combine to create whole proteins containing the entire spectrum of essential amino acids.</p>
<p>If your vegetarian diet in pregnancy is insufficient in protein, try using protein powders. Research and purchase only the purest, high quality protein powders that contain the whole spectrum of amino acids.</p>
<p>Try to avoid any soy-based products because they increase the amount of estrogen that you produce, making it easier to pack on the pounds.</p>
<p><strong>Protein Sources</strong></p>
<p>All grass fed beef and free roaming fowl are complete proteins. Nuts are also high in protein. Combine raw nuts, like a nut butter on sprouted wheat bread for a complete protein. Rice combined with beans also provides the entire collection of amino acids.</p>

Smoking when you are pregnant will give your baby all the nicotine, tar and oxygen deprivation. There are also some studies done in the Cancer Institute in New South Wales, Australia about the topic. It shows that pregnant woman who smoke can elevate the risk in their babies having serious cancer later in life. The prominent risks include seventy per cent increase for leukemia and eighty per cent increase for brain and central nervous system cancers. The studies conclude that pregnant women must not smoke if they are concerned about the health of their children.</p>
<p><strong>- Pregnant women need to consume enough fiber.</strong> Why? Because studies show that the women who are pregnant have the risk of getting preeclampsia and having 20-30 grams of fiber a day will lower the risk. Preeclampsia is a dangerous illness which consists of high blood pressure. It can restrict the growth of the baby. Mother can feel very ill from it. In the end, the illness can cause early delivery. Adding only 5 grams of fiber into your meal can reduce the risk by 14 per cent.</p>
<p><strong>- If you can, go for aquarobics.</strong> There are studies done in Brazil showing that doing aquarobics during pregnancy can significantly help reduce the amount of pain killing drugs during labor. Aquarobics is exercising in the water. You may want to do more research how to properly do it.</p>
<p><strong>- Do not gain too much weight</strong>. Maintain healthy levels of weight gain. Studies show that if you put on too much weight, you may have too big baby. Then the baby can turn out to be a fat teenager too. That is not so nice, isn&#8217;t that? Also, the mother with too much weight gain during pregnancy has the tendency to maintain obese after the delivery. The obesity can lead to other health problem later in life. The Institute of Medicine in the United States recommends that women in the normal-weight range put on about 25 to 35 pounds during pregnancy. The corresponding increases for women who were overweight before pregnancy was about 15 to 25 pounds, and those who were underweight before pregnancy was 28 to 40 pounds.</p>
<p><strong>- The pregnant women have to avoid exposure to hairspray</strong>. Research done in the Imperial College in London showed that the mothers who were exposed to hairspray during the first trimester of their pregnancy had two to three times the risk of having a son with hypospadias. It is a birth defect of having abnormal urethral opening in male.</p>

<p><strong>- Stop smoking when you are pregnant.</strong> Because the baby gets nutrient and oxygen from the mother, you can harm your baby if you smoke. Smoking when you are pregnant will give your baby all the nicotine, tar and oxygen deprivation. There are also some studies done in the Cancer Institute in New South Wales, Australia about the topic. It shows that pregnant woman who smoke can elevate the risk in their babies having serious cancer later in life. The prominent risks include seventy per cent increase for leukemia and eighty per cent increase for brain and central nervous system cancers. The studies conclude that pregnant women must not smoke if they are concerned about the health of their children.</p>
<p><strong>- Pregnant women need to consume enough fiber.</strong> Why? Because studies show that the women who are pregnant have the risk of getting preeclampsia and having 20-30 grams of fiber a day will lower the risk. Preeclampsia is a dangerous illness which consists of high blood pressure. It can restrict the growth of the baby. Mother can feel very ill from it. In the end, the illness can cause early delivery. Adding only 5 grams of fiber into your meal can reduce the risk by 14 per cent.</p>
<p><strong>- If you can, go for aquarobics.</strong> There are studies done in Brazil showing that doing aquarobics during pregnancy can significantly help reduce the amount of pain killing drugs during labor. Aquarobics is exercising in the water. You may want to do more research how to properly do it.</p>
<p><strong>- Do not gain too much weight</strong>. Maintain healthy levels of weight gain. Studies show that if you put on too much weight, you may have too big baby. Then the baby can turn out to be a fat teenager too. That is not so nice, isn&#8217;t that? Also, the mother with too much weight gain during pregnancy has the tendency to maintain obese after the delivery. The obesity can lead to other health problem later in life. The Institute of Medicine in the United States recommends that women in the normal-weight range put on about 25 to 35 pounds during pregnancy. The corresponding increases for women who were overweight before pregnancy was about 15 to 25 pounds, and those who were underweight before pregnancy was 28 to 40 pounds.</p>
<p><strong>- The pregnant women have to avoid exposure to hairspray</strong>. Research done in the Imperial College in London showed that the mothers who were exposed to hairspray during the first trimester of their pregnancy had two to three times the risk of having a son with hypospadias. It is a birth defect of having abnormal urethral opening in male.</p>

<p>But if you know how to stay in shape when pregnant, then it can make a massive difference to the way you look afterwards, but also the speed at which you recover following the birth.</p>
<p>There are a number of specific pregnancy exercises you can do which will help you out both during and after the birth. But remember, the key to any pregnancy exercises you do is that they should simply maintain the fitness you had before becoming pregnant, not to improve in any way.</p>
<p>A number of types of training before pregnancy are not safe for you to do when you&#8217;re pregnant, so don&#8217;t try any of the following: -</p>
<ul>
<li>Heavy resistance training</li>
<li>Dynamic stretching and advanced yoga techniques</li>
<li>Bouncing and high impact aerobics.</li>
</ul>
<p><u>Instead use these pregnancy exercises</u>: -</p>
<p><strong>Gentle and functional weight training</strong> <br />Using supported positions, ideally seated, not on your back. Different stages of pregnancy require you to avoid exercising on your back as blood flow can be diverted from the foetus to the working muscles, reducing the oxygen supply to the baby.</p>
<p><strong>Specific pregnancy yoga classes</strong> <br />Led by a qualified and reputable instructor. Because of the pregnancy hormones oestrogen and relaxin, your joints are more lax (looser) than before, so now isn&#8217;t a good time to develop flexibility. But regular stretching can help to offset back pain and tightness all around the body.</p>
<p><strong>Very low impact aerobics</strong> <br />Again specific aerobic exercises, designed to maintain a pre pregnancy level of fitness, not improve it. You should be able to carry on a conversation throughout and don&#8217;t forget to drink plenty of water.</p>
<p><strong>Pelvic floor exercises</strong> <br />A strong and effective pelvic floor will make the whole experience of natural childbirth much easier and recovery afterwards far quicker.</p>
<p><strong>Regular walking</strong> <br />A 30 &#8211; 40 minute walk done two or three times a week should help to maintain a healthy weight if you combine it with a healthy and nutritious diet.</p>
<p><strong>Don&#8217;t try to diet</strong> <br />This is not how to stay in shape when pregnant, you won&#8217;t be able to lose weight and it can be very harmful to your baby if you aren&#8217;t eating enough calories.</p>
<p>Eat a well balanced diet and stay as active as possible. This is how to stay in shape when pregnant and also how to be in the best position possible for bouncing back in to great shape after having your baby.</p>
