Pregnancy Birth – Origin of Life
Pregnancy birth is the beginning of a new life in the mothers womb. It is a beautiful experience, which every woman wants to experience. Pregnancy is a wonderful phase in each womans life. Each moment during this special period is cherished. The first sonogram, when she can see the babys heart beating or the first time the baby kicks her mother, are unique. The amount of happiness a mother experiences while holding her own baby in her arms, cannot be measured on any scale.
Inside The Womb
The womb acts as the home of the baby till he is delivered. The total duration of pregnancy, right from conception till delivery, is nine months and a week, though it may vary from pregnancy to pregnancy. The baby, till pregnancy delivery, undergoes various phases inside the mothers womb, during this period. From being merely a cell, it becomes an embryo and then a baby. Various organs and body parts of the baby develop at different stages in pregnancy. During the entire pregnancy, till pregnancy birth, baby feeds through the umbilical cord, which is connected through the babys stomach to the placenta. It is rich in minerals vital to the babys growth and development.
The Three Trimesters
There are three major stages of pregnancy. The entire pregnancy is divided into three parts of three months each. These are called three trimesters. The first trimester is the most crucial period of pregnancy. The woman feels symptoms like morning sickness, weight loss etc. during this period. This is because her body is adjusting to the big changes happening inside her. The second trimester starts at the end of the first three months. Regular visits to the obstetrician and recommended tests or sonograms are a must during this period. The third trimester continues till the Pregnancy birth takes place.
As the time of the delivery nears, the woman should be watchful and look for important symptoms of labor. Her doctor makes reservation for her in a hospital or nursing home for the pregnancy birth. Prepare a bag with all the essentials that you will require after the pregnancy birth. It should contain loose robes, slippers, doctors file with record of pregnancy, reports of all investigations that have been carried out, some clothes for the new-born etc. When the woman feels periodic contractions of uterus, she can judge that labor has begun and it is time to be admitted in the hospital. The contractions occur after a fixed interval and the interval becomes shorter, as the labor becomes more intense.
Sometimes labor pains do not occur naturally. In such circumstances, labor pains occur with induced labor. In certain cases, there are some other complications such as a breech baby, large baby, reduced movements of the baby etc. In such circumstances, a slit is made in the abdomen through the uterus and the baby is delivered. This surgical process of pregnancy delivery is known as C-section or caesarean birth. Thus, pregnancy birth differs largely from one woman to another, depending on her physical health and medical condition.
